Founded in Budapest in 2019, the award-winning Czech trio Trio Bohémo (Matouš Pěruška – violin, Kristina Vocetková – cello, Jan Vojtek – piano) has swiftly emerged as a force on the international chamber music scene. Within just five years, the ensemble has garnered prestigious accolades and many awards, with debuts at Vienna Musikverein, Wigmore Hall, and Stoller Hall, as well as major festivals including Prague Spring Festival. They are regular guests on Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’.
In 2024, the trio released their debut CD of works by Smetana and Schubert. The Guardian chose it as “Classical Album of the week” and BBC Magazine gave it five stars.
In 2024-2025, they undertook tours in Australia and the US, and performances throughout Austria, Netherlands, Denmark and Germany, including the Brno Philharmonic and the Aldeburgh Festival.
Trio Bohémo was a member of the “European Chamber Music Academy” from 2020–2022, studying under renowned mentors such as Hatto Beyerle, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt and Avedis Kouyoumdjian. Thanks to the generous support of Dr. Jan Telenský, Matouš performs on an impeccable copy of the Antonio Stradivari ‘Willemotte’ violin by Florian Leonhard. Kristina plays a beautifully crafted cello by Fausto Maria Bertucci.
