Oxana Shevchenko (Piano) and Christoph Croise (Cello)

Balnabruaich Music is promoting a concert in the Crown Church, Inverness on Wednesday 10th December at 7:30pm.  Winner of the 2010 Scottish International Piano Competition, Oxana Shevchenko is returning to Inverness for the sixth time and for this visit will be accompanied by her cellist partner from Switzerland, the multi-award winning Christoph Croise.  Their programme for this Inverness visit is :-

Chopin  :  Introduction and Polonaise Brillante, Op 3
Brahms  :  Cello Sonata No 2 in F major, Op 99
Richard Strauss  :  Cello Sonata in F major, Op 6
Sarasate  :  Zigeunerweisen

Regular concert supporters will need no introduction to Oxana.  Memorable events from previous visits include her playing the whole of the Liszt B minor Piano Sonata as an encore, the Ravel Violin Sonata in G major with her husband Alexey Osipov formerly of the St Petersburg Philharmonic and in March 2023 being likened by a reviewer to “a young Martha Argerich”.  Christoph advises that he is looking forward to his first trip to The Highlands as previous visits to Scotland have not taken him north of Dumfries.  His achievements are too many to list here but have a look at his website www.christophcroise.ch to see a comprehensive catalogue of his career.

Adult tickets cost £20 each.  Age 18 and under £10.  If you prefer to purchase your ticket(s) in advance please contact James Munro by email (jamesdmunro@btinternet.com) and you will be given the information to pay by bank transfer or cheque.  Remaining tickets will be available on the night from 7:00pm with payment by cash or card.
