It has been two years since this duo’s much anticipated sold out performance with TOMS.
Now Duncan Chisholm and Hamish Napier are set to return on Sunday 8th June with newly composed material along with co-written tunes, traditional melodies and songs from their considerable back catalogue.
Duncan Chisholm is one of Scotland’s most recognised and accomplished fiddle players and composers. Duncan has spent most of his life developing his own unique musical voice, a voice that brings characteristic spine-tingling magic to his music.
With such a personal interest and connection to the Highland landscape that so deeply inspires him, Duncan creates musical pictures of Scotland’s wild places.
His is 21st Century traditional music which requires no introductions or programme notes to carry you on its journey.
‘…the indisputable eminent fiddle composer of his generation’ – Penguin Eggs
Hamish Napier’s music is beautifully constructed, evocative and distinctive. A much celebrated pianist, multi-instrumentalist and singer, Hamish creates music which transcends boundaries, drawing on influences from jazz and classical music to electronica and the traditional music of his native Highlands.
He has an innovative approach to composition and performance, creating music which is vibrant, unique and incredibly beautiful.
‘One of Scotland’s busiest and most multi-faceted folk musicians’ – Sunday Herald
