Mahler’s Third Symphony (Strathpeffer)

Sunday 1st June at 3pm, Strathpeffer Pavilion.
Tickets £5 – £19.50

Join the Mahler Players, chorus and conductor Tomas Leakey, as they conclude their exploration of the music of Mahler with the Third Symphony. Mahler famously said that a symphony “must be like the world, it must embrace everything” and in this gigantic work he fulfills this pronouncement perhaps more than in any other. It will be the second performance of Mahler’s Third in the Highlands, in the new version for chamber orchestra by Rob Farmer (the first perfomance was at Inverness Cathedral in May). This promises to be an unforgettable occasion in the elegant surroundings of Strathpeffer Pavilion.
