Our Musicians
This is the third visit of Christina Lawrie and her husband Marcus Barcham-Stevens who love coming to play in Newtonmore and we are very fortunate when they ‘volunteer’ to visit.
Christina first played as part of the Sutherland Duo with Harriet Mackenzie (violin) in October 2011 but over the years she has developed into a concert pianist who is much in demand. Recently she has played in various recitals in London and has made several appearances in St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Marcus continues to play in the Scottish Chamber Orchestra which he joined in 2016 and is the leader of the second violins. He also plays with other orchestras and is a composer of string quartets and choral anthems.
Christina and Marcus enjoy having the opportunity to play together.

Harriet has risen to great heights with many musical opportunities as a musical director, concert soloist and festival performer but still finds time to enjoy performing with Kosmos…. So a great opportunity for something special!!
