Join the Mahler Players, chorus and conductor Tomas Leakey as they conclude their exploration of the music of Mahler with the Third Symphony. Mahler famously said that a symphony “must be like the world, it must embrace everything” and in this gigantic work he fulfills this pronouncement perhaps more than in any other. It will be the first performance of Mahler’s Third in the Highlands, in the new version for chamber orchestra by Rob Farmer. This promises to be an unforgettable occasion in the splendid acoustic of Inverness Cathedral.
