Sunday 16th March: join the Mahler Players at Inverness Cathedral for either (or both!) of their performances at 4pm and 7pm.
Mahler Players will perform Beethoven’s iconic Fifth Symphony twice in one day!
Sometimes nicknamed the “Fate” symphony, the music is some of Beethoven’s most dramatic and powerful. With the fury of the “four most famous notes in music”, moments of tenderness and the eventual triumphant finale, the symphony remains as staggering today as when it was first heard in 1808. The Beethoven will be preceded by Weber’s Euryanthe and Oberon overtures. These overtures present Weber at his rejuvenating best and showcase the virtuosity of the orchestra, with their infectious combination of brilliance and lyricism.
On Sunday 16th March join the Mahler Players at Inverness Cathedral for either (or both!) of their performances at 4pm and 7pm.
