In this first concert of the season, Inverness Piano Recitals strikes out in a different direction.

Nikita will play solo in the first half:
     Brahms, pieces from op.118 (14′)
     Debussy Images I (15’) 
     Mussorgsky “Night on a bald mountain” (11’)

After the interval, we will hear the Beethoven’s 4th piano concerto, considered by many to be one of the pinnacles of the piano concerto repertoire. As in the premiere with Beethoven himself, the accompaniment will be provided by a string quartet from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
